Rersearch Forum, a student support wing of the Department of English was started in the academic year 2014-2015, also the Golden Jubilee year of the college. Being a Postgraduate and Research Department with M.Phil. Programme, the forum aims at developing reading habit in the students and also to highlight the significance of research in higher educational institutions. Postgraduate and M.Phil students present research papers which reveals an indepth study of the chosen topic.

Five or Six meetings are conducted in an academic year. Minimum of ten research papers are presented in a meeting. The sessions are interactive and paper presentation develops their confidence to face a larger group. Thought provoking questions from the audience and the judicious explanations of the paper presenters reflect the sincerity and seriousness with which students prepare themselves for the meetings. All the Postgraduate and M.Phil students get an opportunity to present papers twice in an academic year.

Discussions in the Meetings on the various aspects of literature has helped our students clear NET/SET.
