NICHE Club
The NICHE club of our college is actively functioning from 01.08.2013. Through this club the members try to identify the rare species of birds that visit the college campus. They have identified fairly a large number of species. During 2018 they identified the long-legged predatory wading bird of the heron family (Grey Heron) species in our campus. Besides this, the members of the club attend awareness programs related to environmental issues through which they gain information regarding the rare species of birds and subsequently about their protection.
The club observes World Wildlife Week in the first week of October every year. In the year 2018-19, 62 students from our college participated in the Anti-Plastic awareness program to keep River Vaigai clean and 16 Students participated in a workshop on the topic “ Environmental Bio-Diversity” at Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar College, Usilampatti.
National Service Scheme
The NSS units of our college function with the motto “NOT ME BUT YOU” in view of inspiring the youth to render community service.
