Department of Home Science
The Department of Home Science with its early beginnings in 1979-1980 has offered a B.Sc. Home Science with specialization in Child Care and Preschool Education till 1999-2000. Keeping in view the bright career prospects in the health, nutrition and food industry, the department reframed the curriculum and offered B.Sc. Home Science with specialization in Nutrition, Food Service Management and Dietetics from the year 2000-2001 onwards. The Under Graduate course enables the women students to develop skills and techniques in food preparations, processing and therapeutic diet planning and counseling.

The Post Graduate Programme in Home Science was started in the year 2018-2019. The PG Programme in Home Science aims at imparting expertise in Food Science, Human Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, Food Processing and Quality Control and Hospitality Management.
